As part of efforts to successfully implement the “Ulaanbaatar Metro” project—one of the major infrastructure developments of the capital city—ongoing work is being carried out to prepare highly specialized human resources for its operation and maintenance.
Within this framework, seven students have been selected to pursue master’s degrees in metro and railway engineering at Halla University in South Korea under a 100% scholarship funded by the Capital City. An official “Commitment Agreement” has also been signed with the selected students.
The students will specialize in the following fields:
Upon the successful completion of their academic programs, these engineers will return to Mongolia to directly participate in the large-scale construction and development of Ulaanbaatar. We are implementing this program with the long-term objective of developing domestic human resources and building a local faculty of expert instructors for the future.
